ADMISSIONS

Thank you for your interest in El Gouna International School. We are a privately owned, co-educational, international school offering both the British and Egyptian National curriculum for students ranging from ages 3 to 18; with qualified and experienced international educators providing a engaging learning environment from Early Years Foundation Studies right through to Year 13.

If you are a parent or legal guardian looking to enrol a potential student, please review the below information before submitting your application.

COMPLETE APPLICATION FORM

To submit an application for your child, parents can chose from 1 of the following 3 options;

Click here to download a printable version of the enrolement form. Once you have document, click here to submit it via email, alternatively you may print the form then mail, fax or present it to reception.

Collect an enrolment form from the school reception and submit the completed application manually.

ARRANGE ASSESSMENT DAY

We will review your application and contact you regarding its' status shortly after receiving it.

Interview's with successful applicants will be arranged, at a mutually suitable time, and parents will be sent an application pack detailing a list of mandatory documents which are required to be submitted on, or before, the assessment interview date - including but not limited to;

  • A clear, digital head shot

  • School report for the past 2 school years

  • Copy of original birth certificate

  • Copy of vaccination record

  • For non-Egyptian students: copy of student and both parents passport

  • For non-Egyptian students: copy of student's valid visa

  • For Egyptian students: copy of both parents/legal guardians ID

ASSESSMENT

Candidates will meet with a member of staff - who works closely with students similar to their age group - who will conduct an informal interview; lasting no longer than 20 minutes.

 

Prospective students will then sit several tests - designed by the current academic staff at EGIS - to determine their current academic level, allowing the management team to find a suitable place at our school for your child to learn and flourish.

The assessment process should last around 2 hours, but on busier school days, can take a little longer.

CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE

For students who have passed their assessment interview and tests, a letter of acceptance will be sent; via email.

​

Should your child be starting an iGCSE, iAS or iAL course, and not-yet chosen their options students may be asked to sit further tests before the start of the academic year.

 

If a retest is required, parents are required to arrange another assessment date and time.

FEES

Successful candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee, which must be received within 2 weeks of acceptance.

 

We can only guarantee a your child's placement if we receive the full registration fee.

​

Uniform and bus fees (if applicable) must be bought and paid for before the start of term.

​

If your child(ren) is starting school before the start of the academic year, you and your family will be invited on a tour of the school whereby your child can familiarise themselves with the school layout and their get to know their form tutor.
